WARANDWRITING

RULES.

Hello there! My name is Colleen. She/her. Lover of coffee, music, and far too many fantasy worlds. I've been writing on tumblr since 2013, so you can call me a "veteran" of this website. I love meeting new people & writing cool plots.

highly plot-based: developing stories with a writing partner is one of the unique aspects of roleplaying, and my personal favorite. i'll ocassionally write sentence starters and memes ( for the sake of icebreakers & character interaction ), but these posts are not likely to result in a continuation. i absolutely love plotting and brainstorming new stories with my writing partners, so let’s do it!

private/selective: for my own personal sanity, this blog is private. this is simply because i'm a limited person with limited time. if you would still like to follow me regardless, that’s perfectly fine by me. feel free to like my posts and interact in the comments, even if we’re not mutuals.

low activity: this blog will be low activity. i’m busy most of the day, working and studying. don’t take it personally if I take a minute to respond to our thread; but do feel free to poke me.

shipping: ships will be based upon chemistry and mutual agreement. In the case of canon ships, I’m not keen on headcanons being assumed based upon popular opinion, fanart, fanfiction, or anything else. it is important to develop ideas with my writing partners rather than assuming facts.

not tolerated: godmodding, guilting/pressuring for replies, excessive vague-posting, racial slurs, microaggressions, homophobia, transphobia, sexual discrimination, religious intolerance, bullying, hate anons, or anything of the like.

multiverse/fandom: i’m thrilled about crossovers, especially if i can foresee our characters and worlds meshing. feel free to contact me if you would be interested in chatting about a story.

DISCLAIMER: john watson is the property of sir arthur conan doyle and sherlock. i do not own the man, even if i'd like to.

ABOUT.

Watson, born in 1852, has served as an army surgeon in India, where he was wounded during the second Afghan War, and has returned to England in impaired health. He and Holmes meet in London; they share rooms at 221B Baker Street. The medical practice Watson establishes does not prevent him from accompanying Holmes on his crime-fighting cases, which he later records and publishes.

The character of Watson, as written by Conan Doyle, is modest and intelligent. He is a patient and sensitive observer, but his detecting capabilities are no match for the lightning-swift deductive reasoning of Holmes.

Note: I combine elements from ACD and BBC's Sherlock in my interpretation of John Watson. I will continue to add to this section as I develop verses & headcanons.
